Please apply directly on Generac's Careers page to be considered an applicant: [please apply online] Consumer Sales Specialist is responsible for answering in-bound pre-sale questions by interacting with customers via live chat and phone regarding Generac products as well as educating potential customers on the benefit of having an authorized sales dealer come to their home to perform an in-home assessment. This role is responsible for communicating directly with Generac sales dealers to develop dealer relationships as well as executing the sales process with consumers.

Hybrid work schedule will be reviewed after 90 days of employment with Supervisor Approval.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Answer customer inbound calls, as well as respond to webchats in a contact center environment regarding Generac products.
• Answer in-bound pre-sale questions over the phone and web chat regarding Generac products.
• Educate consumers on the benefit of having an authorized sales dealer perform an in-home assessment
• Develop and nurture relationships with potential customers and Generac sales dealers by conducting out-bound calls
• Utilize various sales skills to cross-sell a variety of complex products to exceed customers’ needs
• Communicate directly with Generac sales dealers in an effort to help consumers come to a buying decision.

Minimal Qualifications:

• Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience
• 1 year related experience within a Sales, Retail or Customer Service environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Call center or high volume call experience

• Excellent customer service and sales skills
• Ability to accurately type while on the phone with customers
• Ability to take initiative and work proactively
• Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness
• Ability to present information to a variety of audiences

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Job Types: Full-time, Commission

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
