Now Hiring - Reservations Specialist in Scarborough, ME

Interact with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about services. This position will also close the office and have some dispatching responsibilities as part of the closing process. There may be additional responsibilities assigned, as needed, such as social media related work or support for special events.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
deal directly with customers either by telephone, electronically or face to face
respond promptly to customer inquiries
handle and resolve customer complaints
obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle inquiries and complaints
perform customer verifications
process orders, forms, applications and requests
direct requests and unresolved issues to the designated resource
manage customers' accounts
keep records of customer interactions and transactions
record details of inquiries, comments and complaints
record details of actions taken
manage administration
communicate and coordinate with internal departments
communicate with partner vendors and hotel properties
assist with the management of social media, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest
follow up on customer interactions
Cover After-Hours phone, as needed
close office at night, work independently for 2 hours a night
some dispatching/scheduling responsibilities during closing hours.

Hours:
This position will work Monday through Fridays 9:00am to 6:00pm, with a 1 hour lunch break, with some overtime, as needed. This position will also need to be available for a minimum of 1 Saturday per month, 8:00am to 3:00pm. All office staff are currently working part of 2 Saturdays a month during our peak season. The Saturday scheduling has some flexibility for the month.

Salary:
Hourly Wage $17.00 - $19.00 dependent on experience.

Education Requirements:
Associates Degree or 3 years experience in a customer service/inside sales position
knowledge of customer service principles and practices
knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
ability to type 45 wpm
knowledge of administrative procedures
knowledge of social media platforms
Call center or inside sales experience preferred
