Overview

McClymond's Supply and Transit is currently hiring highly motivated and experienced Outside Sales Representatives to join our company. We are looking for candidates who are ready to take their career in a new and exciting direction!

McClymonds Supply & Transit provides dry bulk trucking and supply services to the eastern half of the United States. The fleet includes triaxle (straight truck) dump, tractor-trailer dump, pneumatic bulk tank, roll-off triaxles and trailers, and heavy haul. The Company supplies dry bulk materials to commercial, residential, and highway construction companies, landscapers, industrial manufacturers and mills, and the oil and gas industry, among others.

Job summary

This position is responsible for the planning, support, and execution of the sales process for the associated companies. This salesperson is primarily focused on developing relationships with larger industrial accounts.

Summary of essential job functions

· Fielding customers inquires for freight

· Developing sales leads

· Managing relationships with key customers

· Creating business opportunities to fill in gaps in routes (reduce dead head miles)

· Rating the company’s services

· Coordinating the job with the most appropriate company/dispatcher

· Performing account maintenance by reviewing regular routes and monitoring rates

· Acting as a liaison between dispatchers and customers and/or shipping and receiving personnel to maintain continuity with various shipments

· Marketing and representing all aspects of the company and it’s entities to existing and prospective customers

· Providing clerical support internally and to our customers

· Assisting accounts receivable as needed

· Filling in for certain dispatchers when required

· Coordinating sales between the associated companies

Minimum requirements

A general knowledge of the transportation and industrial materials is required. Must possess the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, and clients. It is important that this individual possess negotiation and interpersonal relationship skills. A working knowledge of Microsoft office software is required. This position will require regular travel and time away from home.

Abilities required

While performing this job this person will also be regularly required to kneel, crouch, and sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear; and lift boxes and equipment up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
