The Senior Sales Manager holds a pivotal position within the Hotel Operations team as a highly accomplished professional in the hotel sales industry. Demonstrating remarkable competence in direct selling and backed by a track record of accomplishments, they exemplify unwavering dedication and proficiency. Their main duty revolves around aiding the property in attaining its sales and revenue goals, all while cultivating a portfolio of both new and loyal clients. To achieve this, they forge strong connections with the local community and on-site, thereby solidifying a strong brand reputation. Additionally, the Senior Sales Manager is entitled to a quarterly sales bonus and other enticing perks.
This is a hybrid position and allows for remote work. Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to Oxford, MS, or a neighboring town.

$55,000 - $60,000 base
Responsibilities:- Target accounts, markets, or segments with an emphasis on proactive solicitation
- Identifies, qualifies, and solicits new business to achieve individual and property revenue goals
- Focuses efforts on accounts with significant potential sales revenue
- Develops effective sales plans and actions
- Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply, and demand, etc. and knows how to sell against them
- Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to maximize revenues and close on business
- Handles complex business with significant revenue potential as well as significant customer expectations
- Conducting site inspections
- Preparing and presenting effective proposals
- Maintain well-organized documentation and reports
- Utilize sales, reservations, and revenue management systems
- Develop sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals
- Partner with operations and events departments to ensure full participation in servicing guests and clients
- Partner with the sales department to meet department goals
- A minimum of 5 years of hotel sales or comparable experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Organized and detail-orientated
