Outside Fastener Sales Rep
As an outside fastener sales representative, you will be working within defined territories, representing Echo’s Fastener Division. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining existing customer relationships, prospecting to secure new customers, solving supply chain issues and introducing new products to the territory.
If you have a strong drive to succeed, excellent listening skills as well as superior presentation, analytical and negotiating abilities, you may be the ideal candidate.
Responsibilities and Duties (may include but not limited to):
- Sell company products and services to existing and new customers by establishing and maintaining relationships with key decision makers within the customers’ organization.
- Provide a high level of customer service and follow up in a friendly, professional and timely manner.
- Ability to make product recommendations, providing information to assist with solutions that fit the customer’s needs.
- Utilize sales reports and other data to recognize sales opportunities in customer buying patterns.
- Collaborate with inside sales and departments as needed during the quoting and selling process.
- Make cold calls to prospective customers.
- Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events.
- Appropriately communicate the various Echo divisions and broader capabilities.
- Submit expense records/documents in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Road warrior with the ability to travel throughout a large territory frequently
- Overnight stays are rare but can occur, average of 1-2 nights/month
- Bright, energetic professional with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven record of successful performance, exceeding objectives through outbound sales activities
- Strong computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, CRM / Database systems.
- Strong listening and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Superior time-management and organization skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must occasionally lift, carry or move up to 50 lbs.
- Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Business, Marketing, or Industrial Distribution experience preferred, minimum of 2-3 years B2B Sales experience with related products preferred but not required.
- Clean driving record required
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial or construction environments is a plus.
