Our Corporate office in Livonia Michigan is currently seeking WMS & TMS Business Relationship Manager to join our Innovative Information Technology team! As a WMS & TMS (Warehouse Management System & Transportation Management System) Business Relationship Manager, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to drive the success of WMS and TMS projects. You will act as a strategic partner, understanding the business needs and priorities related to warehouse and transportation management, and translating them into actionable plans and initiatives. Your expertise in WMS and TMS systems, along with strong relationship-building skills, will enable you to align technology solutions with business goals, optimize operations, and enhance supply chain performance.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, including warehouse managers, transportation managers, and supply chain executives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for business users, understanding their requirements and translating them into technical specifications for WMS and TMS applications.
- Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to design, develop, and implement WMS and TMS solutions that align with business objectives.
- Conduct regular meetings and discussions with business stakeholders to understand their evolving needs and challenges related to warehouse and transportation management.
- Lead the development and execution of WMS and TMS strategies, roadmap, and initiatives to drive operational excellence and process optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and supply chain, to identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements.
- Ensure the successful delivery of WMS and TMS projects, managing project timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of WMS and TMS systems' performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Provide guidance and support to business users in utilizing WMS and TMS applications effectively and efficiently.
- Collaborate with IT teams to prioritize and resolve system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to warehouse and transportation operations.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in WMS and TMS technologies, sharing insights and recommendations with business stakeholders.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of WMS and TMS software vendors and solutions, considering business requirements, scalability, and integration capabilities.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to WMS and TMS processes, procedures, and user guides.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse and transportation management.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and audits of WMS and TMS systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Act as a liaison between business users and IT teams, facilitating effective communication, understanding, and resolution of issues or concerns.
- Develop and deliver training programs and workshops to educate business users on WMS and TMS functionalities and best practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to assess the impact of changes in business processes or regulations on WMS and TMS systems, recommending necessary adjustments.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts in WMS and TMS operations, identifying opportunities for automation, optimization, and cost savings.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in WMS and TMS, applying them to enhance business operations and processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in business relationship management or a similar role, preferably in the supply chain or logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management and transportation management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in WMS and TMS systems, with experience in implementing and supporting such systems.
- Solid knowledge of supply chain processes, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and transportation planning.
- Experience in developing and executing strategies to optimize warehouse and transportation operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within established timelines.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to warehouse and transportation management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and integration of WMS and TMS modules with ERP systems.
- Ability to think strategically, identify opportunities, and develop innovative solutions to enhance business processes and performance.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to resolve issues and drive consensus among stakeholders.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with IT professionals, vendors, and business users.
- Proficiency in using productivity tools and project management software.
- Knowledge of change management principles and practices, with the ability to drive organizational change effectively.
- Understanding of IT governance and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to travel as required to support project implementations and meet with business stakeholders.
- Certification in project management or supply chain management is a plus.
- Passion for continuous learning and keeping up with advancements in WMS and TMS technologies.
