Mura Insurance Agency is currently seeking a career minded, dependable, honest, and team oriented individual to join our Insurance Agency. We offer a professional environment, team work values, a great place to work, and a well-compensated carrier in the insurance field. The right candidate will have the responsibility to maintain the insurance policies sold by the agent. The individual is expected to provide prompt, accurate, and courteous service to our clients.
This is a full time plus commission position.
Base pay level starts at $20 per hour plus commission for every policy sold. We will provide leads.
Skills & Requirements:
- Must be licensed in Property & Casualty (P&C) or be willing to obtain within 30 days of hire
- A Life, Accident & Health license is not required but is a plus
- Must have experience in sales
- Considerable understanding of the insurance industry
- Knowledge of Agency Management Systems is a plus but not required
- Must be organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task and be efficient with excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must also have the ability to effectively work with others and have a team-oriented mentality
- Excellent time management skills to coordinate high levels of activities and deadlines
- Able to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment
- Self-motivated
- Demonstrated strong PC skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Outlook
- Ability to Speak Spanish is a plus
Responsibilities & Duties:
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Develop and uphold professional connections with both internal and external partners in order to pinpoint prospective buyers of insurance products and services
- Build profitable relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Deliver excellent customer service to answer all questions and concerns while making recommendations that best fits the client’s wants and needs
- Contact current and prospective clients over the phone and/or via email
- Prepare, process, and complete all appropriate paperwork to deliver deals – renewal proposals, endorsements, cancellations and reinstatement, etc.
- Enter, update and verify data in our Agency Management System
- Adhere to monthly and yearly goals that have been mutually agreed upon and are being tracked by the insurance agency
- Exhibit the ability to identify and overcome sales obstacles
- Attend all sales meetings, strategy sessions, and additional online courses as required
- Stay up to date with any changes in the insurance policies
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Schedule
- Monday to Friday from 9AM to 6PM
- Work Location is On-site (Lincoln Park, MI Office)
License/Certifications
- Must be licensed in Property & Casualty (P&C) or be willing to obtain within 30 days of hire
