Customer Service, P&C Insurance Agent

Covenant Insurance is a dynamic and friendly independent insurance agency who proudly represents Erie Insurance as our primary carrier. We are looking to add an energetic and positive licensed Customer Service Agent to our team. In this role, you'll work closely with a team to collectively serve our valued Personal Lines clients. This position is 95%+ customer service focused with very limited sales, however, it does include responsibilities to upsell and cross sell the needs of existing clients, ask for referrals and offer life insurance products.

Some of the duties/responsibilities will be:

• Handling client transactions such as endorsements, claims, etc.
• Cross-selling insurance products.
• Entering notes in our Agency Management System (IMS) regarding all client activities.
• Answer client coverage questions.
• Negotiate with the underwriters on rates and coverage.
• Follow-up on requested changes, renewals, and process new business.
• Assist sales team with quotes, proposals, and renewals.
• Maintain neat and accurate customer files.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Perform special projects as requested by management.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Demonstrates both professional and personal excellence
• P & C Licensed (Experience with Erie Insurance preferred, but not a requirement)
• Exhibits personal responsibility, professionalism, and a positive, “can do” attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Expertise in varying computer skills and programs

Work Schedule: Full time, Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Note about location - We have three locations in York County (East York, West York, and Lewisberry at I-83). We may have the ability to assign you to the office nearest your residence.

Pay: $32,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
