Position Title: Insurance Sales Producer

Reports To: President

Department: Commercial lines

FLSA Status: Exempt

Purpose: The Insurance Sales Producer is responsible prospecting, soliciting, quoting and selling new Commercial Insurance Policies.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Degree of Supervision Received: Minimal

Degree of Supervision Given: None

Essential Functions:

• Ability to develop a knowledge and understanding of all insurance products
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications with the ability to learn new and existing company software
• Able to work effectively within a team environment
• Possess a high level of attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet assigned deadlines and goals
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Able to effectively and efficiently work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions

• Responds to requests for information in a timely and professional manner

Job Related Qualifications – Education and Prior Experience:

Required:

• Education: Associate Degree/Bachelor’s Degree
• Prior Experience: 1-3 Years Outside Sales Experience
• Licenses or Accreditation: NY State Property and Casualty Brokers License

Preferred:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree
• Prior Experience: 3+ Outside Sales Experience
• Licenses or Accreditation: NY State Property and Casualty Brokers License
