We're looking for an active customer-focused team player with exceptional sales skills to be the Sales Manager at our busy hotel close to Anschutz Medical Campus. You'll be in charge of developing a Sales plan that includes soliciting new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue targets in guest room sales, meeting room sales, and catering via outside sales calls, on-site client appointments, prospecting activities, hotel site tours, and community networking. This energetic leader will be able to enhance revenue by researching local market trends and competition behavior to discover and close business leads. Compensation:
$23.00 - $26.00 per hour based on experience, plus bonus based on overall hotel revenues and STR performance paid quarterly. This position offers flexibility in terms of starting time and ending time as it is an hourly position which ensures a strong work/life balance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop sales action plan accordance with the hotel's overall sales objectives and strategy, with the assistance of the General Manager, Consultants, and Ownership. 1.5 outbound sales activities are required per hour worked on average.
- Develop and maintain relationships with important corporate, group, and catering accounts in order to maintain and expand our market share.
- Analyze local market trends, reports, and competitor activity to identify business leads
- Represent property at appropriate meetings and conferences while adhering to the guidelines of the Sales Plan.
- Increase new business and accelerate revenue generation by cold calling, on-site visits, and sales tours, responding to in-bound leads, as well as engaging your local community network.
- Be present for the opening of events and meetings at the hotel as the MOD when required.
- Participate in the MOD program at the property.
- Using a company owned cell phone while clocked in to quickly respond to guest needs.
- Participate in weekly revenue calls.
Qualifications:
- Understands how to communicate, negotiate, and network effectively
- Must have previous sales experience working in the hospitality industry
- 1 or more years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department, preferably in hospitality
- Stays organized and manage time well
- Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and Related Work Experience.
- Candidate must have reliable transportation to and from work, along with the ability to conduct outside sales calls. Successful MVR check is required.
