Sales Development Specialist in Indianapolis, IN
The Sales Development Specialist is responsible for leading the sales efforts in his or her assigned market of Indianapolis, IN to achieve company objectives in the areas of quality new business acquisition, operator on-boarding, and new item/initiative distribution. The Sales Account Representative is tasked with lead generation, conversion, funnel management, implementing directed processes that grow and develop customer base in an assigned geography. Dependent on assigned geography, the Sales Account Representative may also have a limited number of existing operators to support same store sales initiatives. Travel up to 75% of the time may be required to prospect and close new customers and manage existing customers in the assigned market.
The Sales Development Specialist will be based in the assigned market to which he or she lives and/or as otherwise directed by the VP of Sales.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attain market sales targets for lead generation, conversion of qualified new business, sales funnel, operator on-boarding, and new item/initiative distribution in the service of convenience store
- Utilize all forms of lead-generating practices (cold-calls, referrals, networking etc) and effectively qualify viable new business opportunities to obtain quality new locations
- Manage customer funnel and new store pipeline processes to ensure all steps are achieved to a timely and successful opening
- Analyze data on past performance and future objectives to effectively plan and set goals for the assigned market
- Spend time in the field to achieve sales best-practices as directed by KKF
- Solve practical challenges and identify a variety of concrete action-steps in situations where limited standardization may exist
- Assist in training new Sales Account Representatives
- Work productively and effectively with all KKF Team Members to achieve sales goals and further KKF objectives
ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT
- Reports to the Regional Manager
Education and Experience Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum three years of field sales experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel overnight

- Location Requirement: Candidate will work full time out of his/her home and 75 % travel is required in Northwest Michigan
Compensation: Candidate will have a base salary competitive to market rates and will have a very competitive bonus structure directly tied to specific performance goals and increasing the profits and overall growth for the stores.
