Full description of the position

Reports To: VP of Sales and National Sales/Marketing Manager

Position Description:

Under department leadership, the Sales and Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams, assisting with activities designed to increase both market share and profitability. The Coordinator will be responsible for multiple priorities on any given day, and attention to detail is required. Duties will vary from the creative to the administrative, from conceptual to detailed, and the employee must be able to maneuver through the day, successfully reprioritizing, as conditions require. The Coordinator’s duties will be approximately 70% sales (in office and traveling) and 30% marketing. When not traveling, work in office at headquarters in Hanover, Maryland.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Sales (70%):

· Travel to visit customers located all across the United States and Canada

· Work with independent territory reps to call on customers

· Build relationships with both current and prospective customers

· Maintain strong communication with the sales department

Marketing (30%):

· Create new video content such as interviews, new product spotlights, tutorials, etc.

· Help manage website as well as social media pages (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, etc.)

· Develop marketing materials including promotional fliers, product demonstration videos, catalogs, etc.

· Inform customers of new products and specials through a variety of ways

Essential Functions:

· Travel required to maintain and build relationships with customers (sales)

· Facilitates marketing-related work completed by outside agencies and/or contractors

· Builds strong internal relationships and provides outstanding service to the Sales and Marketing team

· Establishes and manages workflow for creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content

· Develops and maintains a comprehensive knowledge of our products, lead times, pricing, contract terms, and other key components specific to our business

· Participates in meetings designed to align strategic company goals

· Contributes ideas and collaborates with others in the department to develop new, creative concepts for each project

· Procures leads through marketing channels

· Maintains excellent records, both electronic and paper files

· Supports customer engagement by efficiently managing incoming phones and emails in a timely manner. Recognizes opportunities and learns to engage effectively with customers.

· Manages related activities such as registration, travel plans, booth services, signage, and production of collateral materials

· Attends and exhibits at trade shows when necessary

· Arrange and manage personal travel schedule appropriately

· Maintains a good record of attendance and punctuality

· Willingly performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills:

· Communication, initiative, problem solving, leadership and creativity are some of the key traits of successful people in this position, and within the company overall

· Possesses knowledge/experience or a willingness to learn and develop in: Sales, customer relations, branding, content creation, graphic design, social media management

· Act as a face/voice of the company, when required using excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with all levels inside and outside of the company

· Works both collaboratively and independently, taking direction from the management and elevating issues when appropriate

· Experience with Photoshop and/or Wordpress a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
