Job Purpose
The Sales Counselor supports the Director(s) of Sales and Marketing in growing occupancy at an assigned portfolio of communities.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Fills in, as needed to cover the Director of Sales and Marketing or Move In Coordinator role.
- Responsible for nurturing qualified leads through entire sales process taking over from deposit to move-in.
- Responds to inquiries, scheduled visits, conducts tours and closes sales per sales and marketing goals.
- Ensures CRM is being utilized for all internal and external sales activities.
- Participates in scheduled sales calls.
- Works collaboratively with Director of Sales, Executive Director and other department heads to create a positive hospitality-oriented atmosphere for all Team Members and Residents.
- Gives exceptional customer service to residents and visitors, from providing a pleasant greeting to maintaining professionalism and composure in more challenging situations.
- Recognizes and fosters a sales-oriented culture by participating in and contributing toward the sales and marketing efforts of the community, including assisting at events when needed.
- Completes all departmental-related reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Works collaboratively with department heads to emphasize the team’s role in sales.
- Works directly with new Resident and family to finalize paperwork and requirements for admission
- Handles move-in and move-out coordination: move-in/out day activities, move-in arrangements, parking, utilities, etc.
- Provides sales assistance to the Director of Sales as needed to include conducting tours, handling telephone inquiries, hosting events and participating in community marketing outreach programs
- Develops and owns relationship with moving companies in the area.
- Participates in sales meetings.
- Implements protocols to assist the new Resident’s transition into the community.
- Coordinates event details with Team Members in other departments.
- Encourages teamwork through cooperative interaction with Team Members in other departments.
- Supports a positive and professional image through action and attire.
- Maintains inventory of marketing collateral and materials.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office and other marketing-related software.
Working Conditions
This position works in a professional office environment. The Sales Counselor routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, scanners, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The Sales Counselor also works within the Senior Living Community, where there may be possible exposure to communicable diseases and infection, potential injury from transferring, repositioning, or lifting residents, exposure to latex, possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens, possible exposure to various chemical, infectious, or biological hazards, and possible exposure to pets. Occasional weekend, evening or night work may be necessary to maintain critical business operations.
