Full description of the position

Overview:

The Inside Sales Team Lead will play an integral role in leading the inside sales team to achieve their sales objectives and drive growth for the company while also managing a territory of their own. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of Inside Sales Account Executives, including tracking their activity, preparing, and maintaining records for sales leads and account status, and ensuring that the team reaches or exceeds their sales quotas. You will also work collaboratively with the sales team to develop and utilize sales strategies to draw in potential customers, identify key figures, and generate interest in our company's products and services. This role will also manage a book of business / territory and be responsible for meeting budget goals as an individual team leader.

Responsibilities:
  • This is a hybrid role where you will be responsible for managing a team of Inside Sales professionals and individually managing a book of business.
  • Monitor and track the activity of the Inside Sales team, ensuring they meet growth objectives within their account base.
  • Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to the Inside Sales team to improve their sales skills and performance.
  • Collaborate with the outside sales team to develop and implement sales strategies to draw in potential customers and meet sales targets.
  • Maintain and expand the company's database of prospects within the assigned region.
  • Build and maintain business relationships with customers, identifying their potential needs, interests, and viability to drive sales.
  • Work with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals.
  • Ensure the Inside Sales team maintains excellent verbal and written communication skills with customers and prospects
  • Monitor and ensure that the Inside Sales team multi-tasks, prioritizes, and manages time effectively.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of inside sales experience, including 1 year in a leadership position, is required
  • Logistics experience is a plus
  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Team player mentality with a can-do attitude
  • Strong phone presence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Computer literate with MS Office and CRM experience
  • College degree preferred
