Overview:

The Inside Sales Representative for structural sales works directly with structural fabricator customers and the Outside Sales team to quote customer material needs and ensure a timely and smooth sales process. Structural Sales Representatives may also work to find new business through existing accounts or by contacting new leads.

Responsibilities:

• Well versed in the full range of O’Brien Steel’s vast inventory and processing capabilities, specifically concentrated on structural fabricator sales
• Negotiate with customers on pricing, due dates, and other commitments
• Develop strong relationships with new and assigned/existing accounts while having a well-rounded understanding of their business and steel related requirements
• Routinely log CRM entries
• Occasionally attend meetings/lunches with outside sales reps and/or management
• Oversee all aspects of the sales process from quoting, order entry, order processing, and shipping
• Follow up on previously quoted business
• Respond to inquiries and enter new orders in a timely manner
• Continuously communicate with customers to gather market feedback and close business
• Communicate with internal departments including estimating, processing, accounts receivables, and shipping to provide customers with detailed responses, superior quality, and successful delivery
• Prepare sales reports for outside sales reps, management, and customers

Position Requirements:

• Associates degree or equivalent experience within the steel industry or related field preferred
• Self-motivated with a high attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong conversation, negotiation, and written communication skills
• Excellent in customer service
• Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
