JOB PURPOSE:
The Regional Foodservice Sales Consultant at Euclid Fish Company is responsible for driving sales growth by developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing foodservice customers in the assigned territory. This individual will use their expertise in fresh and frozen seafood, gourmet foods and proteins to provide consultative sales solutions to customers, while serving as the customer advocate and liaison for product management, development, and product quality. The successful candidate will have a passion for food and sales, excellent communication skills, and a track record of exceeding sales targets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets for the assigned territory; meet revenue and margin targets on a quarterly basis.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with customers to ensure profitable business for the company.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, logistics, and finance, to ensure seamless customer experiences and timely delivery of products.
- Resolve delivery and quality disputes to ensure customer satisfaction and communicate specifications and needs to operations, front office, and purchasing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activity, customer interactions, and sales pipeline in the company's CRM system.
- Prepare for each client visit with knowledge of menu pre-planning needs, consult on new menu placements by sampling new product offerings, provide custom sell sheets for presentations, and consistent follow-up for future orders.
- Identify client needs, provide new ideas and solutions weekly through continuous upselling by introducing new product offerings in all product categories with the help of FOCUS 5.
- Work with the fillet room team to ensure customer orders are accurately filled with proper cuts and specifications.
- Accurately process sales requests, samples, orders, delivery times, new bids, special prices selections, and complete and submit customer orders and special orders in a timely fashion.
- Participate in training and development programs to improve sales skills, product knowledge, and industry expertise.
- Attend trade shows, industry events, and conferences to represent the company and promote its products and services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in sales/marketing or related degree or equivalent experience
- Strong Foodservice background (back-of-the-house experience preferred)
- Time management and problem solving skills
- Technical understanding of computer functions, Microsoft 365 Suite
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to accurately complete administrative duties
- Must be self-directed, able to work independently
- Strong communication skills and professional self-presentation
- Valid driver’s license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,254.19 - $60,521.17 per year
