Full description of the position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Execute commercial processes for account management, quotation preparation (cost estimation and submittal), order entry, order checking, shipping, and resolution of return requests and quality issues.
• Drives revenue by generating new leads and converting them.
• Assist customers, distributors and sales team with technical support requests or issues related to product selection, application, & material specifications.
• Develop and maintain expert level of friction material knowledge and customer applications.
• Maintain detailed records of customer inquiries, market intelligence and sales opportunities in CRM.
• Work to sell and secure new business with existing accounts and/or develop sales and secure new business contacts via new customer inquiries.
• Provide accurate and timely information regarding the status of open orders to customers.
• Listen, understand and convey customer requirements through to R&D to support new product developments.
• Investigate and expedite product claims and complaints in accordance with marketing policies and assist to resolve problems and recommend corrective action.
• Other duties and special projects which may be assigned or requested.
• Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with the company mission, values, and financial objectives.
• Maintain professional business relationships with target or assigned accounts.
• Provide status of ongoing projects and future projects.
• Identify and communicate customer's needs and sales opportunities to help future growth.

Education and/or Experience:

• Requires a high school diploma with an aptitude and experience in mechanical/technical fields.
• Prior Customer Service or Sales Support experience. Experience of five years or more in sales or a technical field is encouraged.
• Someone with that hunter sales approach.
• Understanding of mechanical equipment, manufacturing processes and strong problem solving skills.
• Experience or an understanding of friction material applications such as brakes, clutches, and power take off (PTO’s)
• Good PC skills with a strong knowledge of word, excel and e-mail.

Other Skills:

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical drawing, procedures, and terminology.
• Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions from groups of managers/customers, and develop written proposals as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills enabling one to write and persuasively present effective proposals.
• Requires basic mathematical aptitude and the ability to apply varied mathematical concepts used in producing quotes, spreadsheets etc.
• Aptitude to interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with multiple variables
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; establish facts, develops alternative solutions; and uses experience to find alternative solutions.
• Work in an independent fashion.
• Requires the ability to operate various office equipment such as: A telephone, fax, scanner, copier, PC, and working PC knowledge—MS Word—Excel—Microsoft Office 2000 or higher plus be able to utilize program formats.

Base Salary + Bonus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
