Position Summary

The Sales Audit Specialist is responsible for reconciliation of store sales, cash and credit cards, auditing of store transactions, and handling customer inquiries.

Job duties and responsibilities

• Reconciles store records to bank records utilizing accounting software for matching, adjusting differences to appropriate general ledger accounts and notifying operations of discrepancies.
• Reconciles third-party delivery sales and books fees and adjustments.
• Records monthly bank statement, credit card and gift card fees.
• Reviews weekly store purchases for proper classifications.
• Reviews credit card chargebacks and reports excessive or fraudulent charges to appropriate individuals.
• Utilizes reporting tools to investigate customer service issues, performs refunds or additional charges if necessary.
• Fulfills gift card orders upon request.
• Month end journals relative to cash, credit cards and gift cards.
• Records variances quarterly for Shop Bank Inventory.
• Assists with projects as requested.

Work Arrangement Options

Donatos has identified this position is eligible for the following work arrangement:

• Full-Time Onsite: The Associate in the position will work all regularly scheduled days onsite.

Minimum requirements

Education

• Associate degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent work experience.

Physical Requirements

• None. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).

Previous Experience

• Minimum 2 years relevant account or sales audit/cash handling experience.
• Multi-unit retail experience desirable.
• Some General Ledger background preferred.
• Moderate understanding of Excel
