Position Summary

The Daniels Executive Education department seeks a Marketing and Sales Manager to join our dynamic and entrepreneurial team. The position is an exciting opportunity for a marketing or sales generalist with an innovative mindset that enjoys being at the intersection of brand, marketing, and business development. Daniels Executive Education provides continual professional growth opportunities through our intensive and ‘quick-hit’ programs and courses centered around leadership development and business acumen. This role is critical to ensuring more individuals and organizations are aware of, and have access to, our programs. Reporting to the Executive Director, the role will collaborate heavily with the leadership team on brand development and ensuring our marketing initiatives and collateral highlight Executive Education’s value proposition and differentiators. In addition, this role will partner closely with the Director of Business Development and Director of Program Success to design and execute marketing campaigns that directly impact sales—building out a referral engine, developing strategic digital advertising campaigns, and measuring ROI. Essential Functions

Overall Job Responsibilities:

  • Driving marketing initiatives that increase sales
  • Tracking and analyzing marketing efforts to ensure ROI
  • Ensuring brand and messaging continuity throughout digital communications and print collateral
  • Prioritizing efficiency through efforts such as automation and tool enhancement
  • Providing thought partnership and marketing support for new program launches
  • Understanding the customer journey and looking for ways to enhance and maximize efforts

Strategic Marketing and Sales Efforts

  • Collaborate with leadership to design and execute a marketing strategy that fills the sales funnel through efforts such as digital advertising, email campaigns, landing page and website enhancements, and use of outside marketing firms
  • Develop and manage the Strategic Marketing and Communications Plan
  • Execute the brand and messaging strategy for all internal and external communications
  • Monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance metrics—report out to leadership team and make data-driven suggestions to optimize results

Marketing and Brand Responsibilities

  • Create and refine all Executive Education collateral—digital, print, website, templates, PowerPoints, etc.
  • Empower and train team on marketing best practices and use of self-service tools like Canva
  • Curate content focused on stories and testimonials through videos, print, and digital
  • Collaborate with team on webinars, conferences, and sales events
  • Collaborate with central marketing on managing the Executive Education website, ensuring the site is achieving business objectives

Sales Responsibilities

  • Partner with Director of Business Development on increasing enrollments in Executive Education’s B2C programs through use of marketing campaigns
  • Partner with the Director of Program Success on program communication, ensuring a fruitful customer journey while also maximizing business opportunities for referrals and customer retention
  • Develop and execute drip and nurture campaigns to increase sales conversion
  • Assist in building out and maintaining automated customer communication flows (email and text)

  • Knowledge of sales and business development processes
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Required Qualifications

  • 2-5 Years of marketing and/or sales experience
  • Direct marketing experience: email, digital advertising, content creation, collateral creation, social media, and content development
  • Project management experience—Wrike is a plus
  • Skilled in web content management systems—WordPress preferred
  • Creative design experience—Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud preferred
  • Experience designing and executing email campaigns—Pardot/Marketing Cloud Account Engagement is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience in managing LinkedIn campaigns
  • Proven track record in driving sales through referrals
  • Prior experience driving digital transformation initiatives that improve efficiency
  • Experience with budget development, planning, and analysis

Working Environment

1. Standard office environment.
2. Unexpected interruptions occur often and stress level is moderate to high.
3. Noise level is quiet to moderate.

Physical Activities

1. Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period of time.
2. Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs.

Work Schedule

Typically Monday through Friday 8:00 - 4:30, occasional nights and weekends as necessary. The hiring manager will discuss work schedule and DU hybrid work policy.

The salary grade for the position is 9.

Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000
