Description/Job Summary
Associate Sales Representative
Overview of the Role
The Associate Sales Representative will support all medical device sales activities within the greater Atlanta area. Providing customer education, conducting in-services and covering surgical cases will be the primary focus of this role. Building key relationships with surgeons and hospital staff will provide a solid foundation for continued growth and success while establishing a career in Medical Device sales.
Who You'll Work With
You will report to the Senior Area Sales Manager while collaboratively working with the entire Sales team: Area Sales Managers, Clinical Account Managers, and the Regional Sales Director.
Major Accountabilities:
- Learn and maintain in-depth product and service knowledge necessary to educate customers.
- Collaboratively work with the Senior Area Sales Manager in setting weekly goals and expectations.
- Identify organic growth opportunities within the existing customer base and work on a strategy to close those opportunities with the Senior Area Sales Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct sales product presentations and in-service training to surgeons, nursing personnel, and biomedical technicians within the Acute Care market.
- Covers cases for Senior Area Sales Manager at various accounts and provide moderate sales support.
- Develop clinical relationships that engage physicians and medical staff in support of product demonstrations.
- Secures orders from existing and potential customers by means of on-site meetings, phone or email.
- Competently demonstrate value propositions of product offerings to stakeholders.
- Secures opportunities to quote on customer requirements.
- Submit weekly activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and problems concerning customer/vendor relationships.
- Records customer information in the CRM and monitors for accuracy and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Four-year degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience of outside business to business sales experience.
- Ability to work independently as well as cross-functionally.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, presentation skills, analytical skills, communication skills, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
