Business Development Executive
Troy, MI
Description
- Drawing up the annual sales planning for the assigned customer based on EDAG PS Group's sales strategy.
- Working out strategies and measures for the development of new market segments for the assigned customer(s) and/or markets.
- Evaluation of customer requirements and development of customer-specific service packages for the assigned customers and markets (for automotive using the model calendar).
- Marketing of EDAG PS as an all-round partner for the assigned customer(s).
- Acquisition of new customers and new orders from existing customers.
- Identification and support of decision makers of the assigned customer(s).
- Planning incoming orders for the assigned customer(s).
- Compliance with and implementation of the in-house guidelines and the EDAG PS Group's bidding process.
- Negotiation of quotations and the conclusion of sales with customers' purchasing departments within the limits of the powers conferred.
- Customer support during the handling of the project, so as to be able to detect and counteract deviations from targets at an early stage.
- Holding joint steering committees/project reviews (lessons learnt) at customers' premises in cooperation with the respective supervisor.
Requirements
- Responsible for developing the strategy and portfolio of assigned customers, taking account of the market situation.
- Responsible for the annual sales planning of assigned customers and the target markets.
- Responsible for sector and market analysis and for the definition of potential and prospective customers.
- Regular reporting on all important processes from the assigned field.
- Ensuring that the company’s and EDAG PS Group's processes, work instructions and guide-lines are used and adhered to.
- Responsible for the process, from the identification of market potential and its development up to the customer's enquiry, via negotiations through to incoming orders for the assigned customer(s).
- Responsible for continually checking and developing the technical sales process for the assigned customer(s).
- Responsible for a steady flow of enquiries and incoming orders and for the achievement of the overall performance for the assigned customer(s).
- Preparation and presentation of the sales report for the regular meetings.
- Internal communication with the sales managers of EDAG PS Group and EDAG.
- Planning of and participation in trade fairs, conferences and events.
- Knowledge and experience working with Government contracts a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $46,958.49 - $56,552.16 per year
