Position Summary:
Due to an internal promotion, we are looking to hire a Commercial Sales Manager. As the Commercial Sales Manager you will play a vital role in achieving and surpassing monthly and annual sales targets to expand LMT Defense in the domestic firearms industry.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for achieving and exceeding monthly and annual sales targets.
- Manages a staff of four commercial sales personnel.
- Coordinates with Marketing Manager and Engineering Managers to optimize customer product offerings.
- Provides input into the development and implementation of promotional campaigns, technical presentations, and customer training.
- Maintain and grow the presence of website sales.
- Management of existing sales groups and dealer sales groups.
- Participates in market research to understand customer needs and support the development of account plans and market strategies to strengthen relations in the market.
- Maintains up to date understanding of industry trends, technical developments, and government regulations that affect commercial markets.
- Forward and fresh thinking on industry knowledge and networking to generate new accounts and maintain current customers.
- Maintain good working relationship with the production and procurement teams to build and follow forecasts for inventory.
- Manage the customer service department and ensure that we uphold the LMT quality standard by providing prompt and effective warranty and order service.
- Establish and maintain accurate and profitable price sheets annually and bi-annually if needed.
- Monitor inventory of components and finished goods to develop sales strategies for stagnant items.
- Must be able to drive revenue, expense control and the sales of firearms.
- Develop customer sales reports to track organizational growth in the industry.
- Provide regular and direct updates to company leadership.
- Manage customer service requests from domestic and international customers.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and international firearms regulations.
- Participate in the company’s effort to continuously improve safety, environmental health, principles, polices, and procedures.
- Maintenance of annual customer contract process and monitoring of adherence to requirements.
- Travel is required for business prospecting, attendance at trade shows and various sales opportunities.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or a combination of related experience, education and/or training.
- Minimum 8 years of sales experience within the shooting sports or related products required.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and company leadership.
- Experience with CRM/ERP systems and practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong networking skills within the firearms industry is required.
- Knowledge and experience selling in the firearms industry is required.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
