About the job
We are looking for a motivated and well-spoken Industrial Equipment Sales Representative to join our sales team. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting industrial equipment including (piping, valves, steam traps, relief valves, regulators, etc.). They will also need to create quotes for the industrial and EPC markets, communicate with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process.
Inside Sales Representative Responsibilities:
- Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads.
- Understanding customers needs and identifying sales opportunities in mechanical systems.
- Answering potential customers questions and sending additional information per email.
- Keeping up with product and service information and updates.
- Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services.
- Staying informed about competing products and services.
- Upselling products and services.
- Responsible for customer follow-up.
- Use excellent oral communication and best practices in customer service when interacting with customer.
- Listen attentively to consumer questions and provide answers that are knowledgeable and insightful to encourage product sale
- Showcase the company’s strengths and highlight our brand by talking exclusively about the characteristics that make our organization unique.
- Review Request for Quotations (RFQ) and preparation of proposals for those RFQs
- Review, process, and enter purchase orders into the ERP
- Provide order acknowledgments to customers for all purchase orders entered
- Review sales reports to monitor, track, and expedite any open orders
Inside Sales Representative Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Excellent phone and cold calling skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong listening and sales skills.
- Ability to achieve targets.
- Knowledge of piping systems and industrial equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
