Sales Representative: Research & Data

We’re looking for a results-driven Sales Representative with excellent interpersonal skills to actively seek out and engage customer prospects. This role is responsible for growing and retaining the distribution of our research and data products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and prioritize development of sales and retention initiatives that support revenue growth and generating business with existing and prospective customers.
  • Develop and sustain subject matter expertise in the research and data products area.
  • Close customer deals to meet growth targets.
  • High level of interactions with customers/prospects.
  • Conduct regular status and strategy meetings with executives to understand their needs and link them to ISM product/services.
  • Track sales efforts (calls, meetings, events) through use of CRM and other sales applications.
  • Provide strategic input to the product development within the data business.
  • Reach out to customer leads through written and verbal communications
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.

Skills and Experience

  • Occasional work outside of regular business hours and some travel required.
  • Highly energetic and self-starter.
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills with proven track record.
  • Working knowledge of CRM and other sales applications.
  • Highly proficient in computer and technology skills
  • Successful candidate will need to develop subject matter expertise and tailor solutions to meet the unique needs of the customer.
  • Ability to multi-task activities with shifting priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or marketing/sales is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years selling research and data or similar.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft Suite, Hub Spot, and Personify

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
