Job Summary:
The Construction Project Advisor is a customer facing position, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical clients in a clear and understandable manner, about basement waterproofing solutions. Their primary role will be to assess moisture and water infiltration issues in basements and recommend the appropriate waterproofing solutions. The advisor provides technical advice, expertise, and builds proposals for each job based on company guidelines. The advisor works independently or as part of a team, ensuring that projects are completed within the company’s guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Conduct on-site assessments of clients' basements to identify moisture and water infiltration issues, including inspecting the walls, floors, and drainage systems.
· Analyze data from the assessments to determine the root cause of the moisture or water infiltration and develop an appropriate solution for each client's unique situation.
· Recommend water mitigation solutions, waterproofing products and systems based on the assessment findings and present the options to the client in a clear and understandable manner.
· Provide technical planning, design, permitting, and construction support on various waterproofing projects that may include sewer systems, sump pumps, interior and exterior water management systems, and storm drain systems
· Develop and present detailed project proposals to clients, including cost estimates, timelines, and expected outcomes.
· Provide ongoing customer service to clients throughout the project, answering questions and addressing concerns as they arise.
· This includes, but is not limited to proposal preparation, client/project inquiries, and following up after projects have been completed.
· Keep up with new technologies and industry developments related to basement waterproofing and make recommendations on the use of new products and systems.
· Maintain accurate records of assessments, proposals, and project details.
· Adhere to company policies and procedures related to safety, quality, and customer service.
· Participation as an active team member in the continual improvement of our services, procedures, and operational function
Qualifications:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field. (Or a trade/technical schooling)
- Minimum of 5+ years of related work experience (construction, plumbing, sewers, HVAC, landscaping), with a proven track record of successful project completion. Or a mechanical aptitude and strong ability to problem solve.
- Knowledge of or capacity to learn about waterproofing products and systems, including interior and exterior drainage systems, sump pumps, and vapor barriers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be trained identify the root cause of moisture and water infiltration issues and develop appropriate solutions.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in or able to learn customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Proficient in or able to learn company estimating systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with excellent time-management skills to ensure that projects are completed within the designated timeframe and budget.
- Motivated self-starter, punctual and hard worker.
- Physical ability to climb ladders and crawl in confined spaces.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions:
The Construction Project Advisor may work in various indoor and outdoor environments, including basements, crawl spaces, and construction sites. The job may require extended periods of standing, walking, and crawling in confined spaces. The advisor regularly works in an office or remote setting. The advisor may be exposed to dust, noise, and other hazards associated with construction sites.
Salary: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
