Now Hiring - Retail Sales Cashier/Retail Sales Associate in Charlotte, NC

We are looking for a Sales Associate to help us with customer service and merchandising the store! We are a fun, fast paced, hardworking team that just needs a set of extra hands!

This is a general description of the duties of a Sales Associate. Job descriptions may be altered at any time.

POSITION PURPOSE

To help promote all aspects of the business. Selling, merchandising, and promoting a high level of customer service. Sales Associate will perform all duties on the training packet provided.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Sales Associate will have a five-day training program that will help them understand what our expectations are for the position. After the five-day training program is completed, it might take more or less time, then these are the major areas of responsibility:

1. Customer service: greeting customers as they are coming in. Checking customers in and out for buys and sales. Performing basket rounds for customers. Collecting proper information from customers for transactions. Determining customers’ needs and handling all transactions in a professional and enthusiastic manger. Always promote image of store concept.

2. Merchandising: restocking the store following management guidelines. This includes hanging, running, tagging, backstocking/unbackstocking, placing sensors on items. This also includes performing rack maintenance on certain areas of the store when the MOD deems appropriate timing.

3. Sales associate closing & cleaning tasks will be assigned on a nightly basis.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Previous customer service experience preferred

2. Ability to work well as a team member and to take and follow directions.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Sales and goal oriented

5. Must be computer literate

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours a day

2. Lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance

3. Bending, rotating, and reaching conducive to a retail environment and to receiving, pricing, and stocking merchandise

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $12.50 per hour
