Full description of the position

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for handling walk-in customer sales and rental requests, processing all paperwork associated with the transaction and following up appropriately. Additional duties and responsibilities include:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support walk-in customers purchase and/or rental requests by understanding their needs and providing relevant solutions.
• Handle inbound sales leads via phone, email and internet. Fulfill the customers’ immediate questions and pass information to outside sales for follow up.
• Analyze the application need of every customer and suggest suitable products
• Communicate all information to the responsible outside salesman of the situation.
• Demonstrate the operation of equipment and understand and communicate maintenance requirements.
• Support outside sales team by assisting customers when picking up purchased or rented equipment.
• Complete machine walk-arounds. Ensure rental return units are inspected for damage and service department make ready is created as soon as unit is returned.
• Call inactive customers and determine if they have any equipment needs. Communicate new product offerings, specials and services.
• Make efforts to achieve the branch sales targets and improve goodwill of the organization.
• Utilize CRM (customer relationship management) system and ensure authentic information is available with the company. Record details of sale/rental transactions within system.
• Establish friendly relations with customers and maintain ongoing relations with the customers.
• Participates in ongoing internal/external training courses and various events, including Vermeer factory training, online and instructor-led training, trade shows, marketing events, etc., to keep abreast of changes and enhance sales methodology knowledge.

Required Skills and Education

• Should be expert in handling CRM software and other common computer software such as Power Point, MS Word , Outlook and Excel
• Impressive personality and ability to convince the clients by coming up with solutions to fill their needs.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with high level of confidence
• Creative thinker and should posses ability to resolve critical problems
• Good organizational skills, management skills and energetic
• Should have ability to multitask and handle multiple situations in a day.
• Goal oriented and believe in team work
• Should posses ability to work individually in certain situations
• Minimum 2 years sales or equipment experience.
• Associates degree a plus
• Bilingual, Spanish and English preferred
