The Sales Planning Analyst is expected to actively participate in the development of the sales projections that drive operations, sales, financial and strategic planning, as well as to provide analysis to solve a variety of business problems. This is a highly visible role that engages with cross-functional leadership and management teams for a wide variety of strategic planning. This role is located in our World HQ in Elyria (just a little west of Cleveland), Ohio USA.
The Sales Planning Analyst will work within the Sales organization, as part of a dynamic global team alongside Product Management, IT, Finance and Supply Chain. They will have a deep understanding of our economic conditions, key indicators, and demand patterns. They will have a passion for business intelligence. A strong bias for action, collaboration and continuous improvement will ensure that valuable insights are supporting data-driven decision-making in the organization.

As a Sales Planning Analyst, You Will:
- Utilize quantitative and critical thinking skills to advance sales planning projects and tasks.
- Develop sales planning analysis and reports. Compile and analyze data to determine patterns in demand, forecast trends, and present actionable insights to management.
- Leverage BI software (Domo) to analyze data and interpret results to drive business decisions.
- Monitor economic conditions and key indicators that impact the Professional Tools business. Perform statistical analysis to quantify impacts and predict future demand.
- Assume a key role in the development of detailed product, market, and distributor forecasts through cross-functional collaboration, market, distribution, and product analysis.
- Create presentations and reports for leadership team by compiling relevant information and putting in presentation format using PowerPoint and Excel.
- Support the S&OP process to deliver a consensus sales plan.
- Participate in a variety of meetings and cross-functional projects focused on planning and business process improvements.
- Support the development of long-term sales projections for strategic planning. Various other monthly tasks such as preparing backlog summaries, providing intercompany sales projections, and working closely with cross-functional Finance teams to develop sales plans and objectives.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or other relevant fields.
- Have 1 or more years of relevant work experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present to management.
- Proven track record of being a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Experience with using business intelligence software such as Domo, PowerBI, etc.
- Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) is a plus. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
