Hilton Garden Inn Hotel Charlotte/Concord is looking for a new Director of Sales/Catering to join our Team!
We have an exciting opportunity for our next Director of Sales/Catering to lead our sales efforts in representing our hotel's services and facilities to prospective clients of our busy hotel. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling market requirements and responding to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, and food and beverage services all while continuing to provide outstanding service to our guests.

Report to: General Manager
Supervises: Sales and Catering Staffs
Salary: $65k - $75k + Quarterly Bonus Potential (Based on experience & performance)
Job description
The DOS will head up all sales and catering efforts for this top performing hotel. This is a market based/driven position, which requires the DOS to be in the local community, building relationships with local contacts. We are looking for team members who approach their work with passion, enthusiasm, and attention to customer satisfaction. We use them as guides to make decisions and chart our course on a daily basis.
Requirements:
- High importance on developing and maintaining top and local accounts while acquiring new and competitor accounts.
- Candidates should also have solid understanding of the Charlotte/Concord and surrounding area.
- Proven experience in hospitality sales, highly motivated - a desire to be first in the market, exhibit excellent communication skills, be well organized, detailed and self-starting.
- Position is accountable to market performance and potential performance, as well as, budget, forecast and target goals, company sales audits and brand sales audits.
- Must demonstrate a solid sales background with proven results.
- ONQ, GRO/R&I and Delphi systems experience preferred.
- General knowledge of events and catering. Oversee Sales and Catering Coordinator and work closely with Food & Beverage department.
- Inside and outside sales calls.
- After-hours and weekend availability may occasionally be required.
- Other duties as assigned by Management
Educational/Vocational Preparation:
Bachelor’s degree in Hotel/Restaurant management or Marketing. A combination of vocational sales training and /or on the job training may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
