Area Manager Job Description

This is a BASE SALARY + COMMISION + BONUS role

Locally owned Footprints Floors of Columbus & Dayton is looking for a Area manager to manage and support our expanding Dayton territory projects from start to finish (sales through completion). You will report directly to the owner. We are looking for a trustworthy & responsible person who is prompt, detail oriented, organized and has good communication skills.

In this role you will represent Footprints Floors through in-home estimates; selling flooring and tile installation services as well as coordinating and overseeing projects with our crews providing high level customer service to help ensure the completion of each project.

Although valued you will NOT need years of sales experience or knowledge of flooring. We will provide training & support. Willingness to follow the systems and accept coaching is vital. The ability to stay positive at all times, integrity, and ability to be respectful and work well with ALL people is a MUST. This position requires someone who is level-headed and even-tempered when working with customers & crews and who is also a good problem solver.

NO COLD CALLING / ALL LEADS & LEAD SCHEDULING TO BE PROVIDED

Experiences will vary and while many will see some early successes plan to achieve regular repeatable results only AFTER 3-6 months in the position.

Primary Responsibilities - (Training to be provided)

• Sales
• Represent Footprints Floors: professional, out-going, respectful and be the spokesperson for the brand
• Manage your estimate availability schedule and calendar through ClientTether for the day/week ahead, fully informed of your meeting obligations
• Be prompt and communicative with customers if there is a glitch in your day or a need to re-schedule
• Provide great sales techniques: answering questions, listening, connecting with customers
• Communicate process and expectations to customers and pass the job to Project Managers
• Provide accurate and timely estimates
• Gather signed proposals, collect deposits and manage the details of the job
• Scan proposals and upload to the Footprints Floors Google Drive
• Communicate customer concerns to Project Managers/Warranty Managers/Supervisors
• Manage Job Sites [You are NOT working on the jobs] Our crews are proficient in hardwood, tile, LVP/LVT and laminate installation. You will be responsible to:
• Start new jobs with customer and crew, “walk through” the space & scope of the project with all parties be sure to answer any questions and work out the logistics. Ie. parking, workspace, restroom use, daily work stop time, etc.
• Visit each job site at least once per day and make sure jobs are running smoothly.
• Interact with both crews and customers always staying positive and pleasant even when dealing with challenges or something “unreasonable”.

Additional Responsibilities

• Update invoice / add change orders as needed in system
• Issue and discuss final invoice with customer
• Collect Final Payments / deposit to bank
• Update customer status to complete in CRM system
• Maintain any records necessary for project
• Answer any follow up questions or calls after completion
• Participate in team meetings and continuing education within industry when offered
• Ensure we are earning and collecting 5 star reviews

Other:

• This is a BASE SALARY + COMMISION + BONUS role
• This is a remote position, requires daily LOCAL travel, work from the road / from home
• Service area is Dayton Ohio & surrounding focused mostly within a 35 mile radius of Dayton.
• 401K with matching (eligibility after 12 months)
• Biweekly pay
• $70,000 - $115,000+ first year earnings (includes bonuses)
• Base Salary
• + Commissions on completed jobs
• + $3K Vehicle stipend (at start)
• + Monthly Bonus potential up to $7500 per/yr
• A logo’d company vehicle may be provided after a proven track record.
