Midwest Janitorial Service is a leading provider of janitorial services in Eastern Iowa and Illinois.

We have been serving these communities since 1958. The territory for this position consists of Des Moines and surrounding areas.

The Branch Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the branch including developing new business and building existing client relationships.
This position will direct and oversees all tasks involved in the overall daily operation throughout multiple facility locations and oversees staff.

Principle Responsibilities:
1. Communicate and coordinate all aspects of branch operations with the operation manager and the supervisors.
2. Perform quality assurance inspections at existing client locations and review all audits performed by staff. This does require evening visits as needed.
3. Develop continuous improvement plans with staff to ensure the Quality Assurance Plan is being followed and maintained.
4. Hire, train, and recruit all staff as well as assess performance on a regular basis.
5. Assist in monitoring sales performance through the analysis of sales reports. Assist in adjusting strategies and setting goals.

6. Maintain adherence to all company policies and procedures.
7. Responsible for overseeing and/or office tasks including labor budgets, scheduling, inventory, and payroll.
9. Any other duties as assigned by Executive Team.

Essential Requirements:
1. Ability to communicate with clients and staff.
2. Strong written and verbal skills required. Must be able to develop marketing tools, write reports, and business correspondence.
3. Ability to freely access all facilities we provide service to.
4. Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to complete a job.
5. Ability to move or transfer supplies or equipment to a facility generally weighing 0 - 50 pounds.
6. Ability to stoop, bend, lift and reach. We are a cleaning company and cleaning is required.
7. Ability to sit and drive between multiple facilities in a given day.
8. Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in all types of facilities (commercial, retail, industrial, medial & institutional). There is exposure to different environments and cleaning compounds that could affect those with allergies.

Shifts vary by individual, staffing, and branch, but a weekend rotation is mandatory. Holidays are rotated between Supervisors and Managers. Touring accounts at different shifts is necessary based on customer needs, concerns, and new business. Managers are required to clean. This will occur when training, starting new accounts, client concerns, assisting staff and/or facility staffing shortages, and when performing quality assurance inspections.
