Job Description:
What you’ll do:
Generate sales calls, schedule visits to current and prospective customers, and effectively handle all stages of the sales cycle to meet sales targets for orders/pipeline/new accounts. Qualify sales leads, answer inquiries and maintain accurate records of activities using Dynamics 365 CRM software Gather market intelligence on end users and segments. Collaborate with Strategy/Innovation team to shape how we adapt our plans and efforts in your region. Negotiate terms and pricing with end-users. Ensure successful installations by coordinating with CARR field service team. Coordinate sales efforts with other territories and sales executives as necessary to support cross-region collaboration.
Experience most likely to have prepared you for this role:
Strong understanding and knowledge of the BioPharma/Biotech Industry. Willingness to travel within your territory to participate in training, meetings and key projects. Understanding of cGMP, validation and regulated environments for bioprocessing. Strong Communication Skills (written and verbal). Live and lead in a way consistent with Barry-Wehmiller cultural commitments:
Communicate effectively, Focus on the customer, Drive results, Instill trust, Optimize work process Proficiency in computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite products
The following competencies will differentiate you from other candidates:
Extensive experience in upstream bioprocess development, pilot, tech transfer or manufacturing using separation systems after bioreactors/fermenters. Strong, working knowledge of Upstream, Centrifugation, and Filtration unit operations. Proven experience developing, specifying, or supporting manufacturing operations in bioproduction or three to five years of bioprocess sales, field applications or technical support of bioprocessing consumables, hardware and software.
Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering (preferred) or Biochemistry, Chemistry
ADA Requirements:
  • Typically sits, grasps items, and performs keyboarding for regular operation of a computer
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about regularly
  • Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally
  • Occasional exposure to typical manufacturing production physical hazards
  • Domestic travel by air and/or car up to 50% of the time
