As a member of Airgas – an Air Liquide Company’s Engineering Solutions Group (ESG), headquartered in Cleveland, OH, this individual will play a key role in the growth of Airgas’ bulk gas business through the technical sale and installation of Airgas’ gas applications equipment to the metals, composite and glass industry. With a focus on Safety, Functionality and Reliability, both internally and externally, this position will be focused on providing Airgas customers with support and development of complete process solutions for the high temperature processing of metals and materials.

• Prepare and present technical proposals, with the Airgas sales team, to prospects/customers that focus on Airgas’ ability to provide complete Engineered Solutions in the area of high temperature processing of metals and materials; including Metallurgy, Combustion Melting/Heating and Heat Treatment.
• Individuals will be involved in all aspects of an Engineered Solution for metal, composite and glass prospects/customers. Including prospect identification and contact, problem evaluation,, data analysis, engineered solutions development, applications/equipment selection, value-based proposal presentation, engineered solution and equipment start-up and long-term customer support.
• Proactive technical sales support to Airgas’ sales teams using individual’s process knowledge, industry experience and applications background in high temperature processing of metals and materials.
• New product/application identification and development, application marketing.
• Interface internally with Airgas’ regional gas sales team, engineering equipment engineers and Airgas’ corporate marketing and strategic account teams. Externally interface with customers and vendors.
• Position located in Central USA (Houston, Dallas, Tulsa, Denver)

• Technical degree and experience in high temperature processing and manufacturing required. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering preferred. Relevant co-op or work experience considered.
• 5-10 years of “hands-on” technical or sales engineering experience. Relevant experience with combustion systems, melt shops, foundries, hot mills, and heat treat operations strongly considered in lieu of technical sales experience.
• Individuals should be comfortable with identifying issues, troubleshooting problems, developing solutions, critical thinking and working on a multi-disciplined team.
• Familiar with combustion and high temperature processes, mechanical processes, combustion equipment, furnace, process drawings, AutoCAD, PLC and process controls
• Intermediate capabilities with Google Suite

• Frequently (40-60%); Domestic daily and overnight travel required throughout the Central and West Coast of USA. .
• Must have reliable, appropriate transportation.
