A.P. Moeller Maersk is seeking a Packaging Equipment Sales and Service Professional to join our Sales Team. Your focus will be on attaining new customers in the manufacturing and distribution market segments.
The packaging products we offer are used by our customers to secure their products. Since our packaging products are used on a continual basis, the ideal candidate will be highly skilled in developing strong working relationships with their customers. This position will develop and execute the sales strategy for selling Maersk products and services in the Utah area market. Requirements include new business development, maintaining customer relationships, providing customer-specific solutions, and meeting established sales and gross profit targets.
Job Responsibilities:
· Lead the strategy and implementation of selling equipment and value-added services to meet or exceed individual and company goals in an established territory.
· Build and grow Maersk packing equipment business to support further hires such as technicians and additional equipment sales professionals.
· Manage and maintain the current equipment base and problem-solve all equipment service-related issues found at the customer.
· Develop and implement a customer contact plan to build new relationships and strengthen existing customer partnerships.
· Be the resident expert on all equipment-related work and support other sales professionals in their efforts to sell packaging equipment to customers.
· Identify opportunities and present solutions offered by the organization that meet the customer's needs.
· Utilize CRM to schedule follow-up actions and record relevant information to build upon customer interactions.
· Create a personal network and represent the Maersk brand in the highest professional manner.
· Align with various manufacturing sales representatives to expand segment and product knowledge base and collaborate on promoting solutions to customers
· Actively leverage Maersk products and tools to meet strategic account planning objectives and maximize customer and segment growth potential.
· Demonstrate a successful background in business-to-business sales and should possess strong closing skills.
· Participate in training and development programs to enhance sales competencies and further expand the ability to effectively generate profitable customer and segment growth.
Requirements
· 5-10 years of successful equipment sales and service experience; territory sales or account management preferred.
· Strong technical understanding of packaging equipment and service.
· Strong understanding or experience from a large, national, or decentralized distribution/manufacturing organization preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
