GAMPAC Logistics is an arm of US Foods, specializing in the handling of food and beverage-related products for Fortune 500 companies, as well as many more of the nation’s food and beverage manufacturers.

Today, we provide transportation services for multiple industries, using multiple modes of transportation – including Temperature-Controlled, Dry Van, Flatbed and Cross Docking Operations throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Reporting directly to the President of Gampac, the Director of Sales is responsible for the proactive development and growth of profitable new business. The Director of Sales will be challenged to expand account base, pursue, and close new business, increase revenues and improve profitability.
Flexible Work Policy: The Director of Sales - Gampac position has been segmented as Remote Anywhere meaning the work is completed 100% remote/virtual anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage sourcing of new accounts. Build and maintain relationships with customers and assist and direct team members in sourcing and growing customer base.
  • Owns development of key relationships with US Foods Category Management and National Account leadership and staff. This includes building partnerships and strategy to develop new customer pipelines targeting US Foods suppliers and national account customers.
  • Act as a liaison between the customers and operations staff. Support implementation of new business between operations, accounting, pricing and other key departments. Ensure customer expectations of service, capacity and other key metrics are delivered with the support of the organization.
  • Partner with the network and pricing team through customer RFP process, identifying markets for growth and supporting customer solutions.
  • Act as business subject matter expert in development of our sales strategy, sales pipeline, and development to support more efficient and effective business development processes.

LEADERSHIP:
  • Lead, develop and grow 1 to 2 account managers.
TRAVEL:
  • Must be able to Travel up to 30 of the time by plane.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Marketing OR equivalent years of work experience, required.

Related Experience/Requirements:
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of sales experience in third-Party Logistics, transportation or related field experience, required.
  • Temperature-controlled industry experience desired.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Suite of Services (TMS, Transportation Brokerage Services)
  • Develop and execute business plan strategies (proven track record of success)
  • Sector/Vertical’s (Food-ambient/temp controlled, Retail, CPG etc.)
  • Supply Chain Management software knowledgeable
  • Computer proficient (Office suite, Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Strong Presenter to Executive Level Management
  • Team player (demonstrated coordination with Operations, Logistics Engineering, IT, Finance)
  • Proven negotiating ability
The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. In Colorado, the expected compensation for this role is between $117,250 and $150,000. In New York City, the expected compensation for this role is between $139,550 and $159,500. In California, the expected compensation for this role is between $132,550 and $151,500. In Washington, the expected compensation for this role is between $132,550 and $151,500. This role is also eligible for annual incentive plan bonus.
