Summary/Description
This position is responsible for generating and developing business opportunities within potential and existing Automotive OEM and Tier1 Customers with the aim of expanding the company's customer base through new business awards. The individual will be responsible for developing engagement plans and cultivating prospective clients in both North America and Europe regions within both conventional Powertrain and New Energy vehicle markets. They must be able to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders and be proactive in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
· Identify new business opportunities that align with the company's growth objectives by researching market trends, identifying potential customers and developing strategies to win new business.
· Generate leads and contacts with target customers, establish close working relationships to understand product requirements, business opportunities and RFQ generation.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers through regular communication, site visits, and providing excellent customer service.
· Work closely with cross-functional teams such as engineering, production, and quality to ensure that the company's products and services meet the needs of customers.
· Convert new business and customer opportunities into positive commercial programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Conduct market research to identify potential customers, market trends and product technical requirements.
· Develop and implement strategies to win new business and expand the company's customer base.
· Identify and develop new business opportunities.
· Generate and establish contacts in potential Customers including Automotive OEMs, new entrant EV OEs, Tier1 EV System/Powertrain/ Battery System suppliers, and MD/HD/OH market segments.
· Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the automotive industry and target Customers.
· Attend trade shows and networking events to identify new business opportunities.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, ensuring high levels of engagement and customer satisfaction.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide feedback on customer needs, market trends and technical requirements.
· Negotiate contracts with customers to ensure that the terms are favorable to the company.
· Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes, including competitor activity, technological advances, and changing customer needs.
· Use industry insights to inform sales strategies and product development plans.
· Participate in industry forums and events to stay abreast of industry developments.
· Prepare sales presentations for current and potential customers using various technology resources.
· Lead client RFQ process and works with team to develop quotations per customer application/commercial requirements.
· Communicate and distribute to team the latest customer commercial and engineering requirements for product quotations.
· Prepare customer quotations and submit quotes with supporting commercial details for review/approval.
· Work with team to review/refine cost details for product quotations.
· Work with Sr. Sales Manager, and team, to negotiate/finalize commercial contracts.
· Stay abreast of client's product advances and related data.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive industry trends, technical developments, and governmental regulations which impact target markets.
· Attend relevant automotive trade shows to market client and gather market/product/competitive data.
· Treat all customers and employees with dignity, respect and courtesy.
· Miscellaneous duties, as assigned to successfully manage expected outcomes.
Qualifications
· Education/Knowledge
o Undergraduate degree with a major in a relevant Engineering discipline.
· Experience
o Five years of sales and marketing experience in a large corporation, preferably automotive related and experience in electronic modules
o Three years of experience in an engineering related function

Pay: $90,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
