About the Role
The Senior Manager, Business Transformation is responsible for providing leadership to the assigned, highly critical/highly complex workstreams by utilizing business transformation or performance improvement practices. The role requires partnering with the line leaders/functional leaders to achieve transformative performance by driving improvement strategies and pushing those actions to results.
This role may involve leading or supporting key strategic initiatives such as Program/Project Management. You'll shape aspirations, develop initiatives, and lead end-to-end execution to deliver superior results for the division.
In this role, we are looking for a natural talent with a flair for structured business problem-solving and continuous improvement with a strong financial acumen who can effectively partner with a broad range of stakeholders to drive performance, mindset, and behaviors.
This role will report to the Automotive Performance Office Leader. As one of the senior members of the Performance Office team, you will enjoy a tremendous learning opportunity in a highly competitive environment providing an excellent platform for advancing career growth.
What You Will Do
- Champion, Implement Performance management rigor within assigned functions or businesses.
- Work collaboratively with the functions / Business / External consultants to design, execute and lead teams through organizational change to drive short, medium, and long-term value.
- Lead in-depth review focusing on identifying full potential, target setting, action/measure tracking, and gap closure to benchmark.
- Coach Initiative owners in developing rigorous and locked-down business cases, and project milestones and timelines.
- Ensure initiatives drive implementation and guide each to fast and pragmatic execution.
- Infuse a sense of urgency and Establish where to focus (Initiatives, deep dives)
- Hold the team accountable for the results. Bring clarity, transparency, and insights to drive effective decision-making and course correction.
- Act as a sparring partner for the peer leaders to increase speed to impact by challenging the status quo, breaking down functional silos, relentless prioritization, and faster execution
- Support change management efforts to drive high-performance culture and coach team members on transformation behaviors and mindset change
- Ensure connectivity across the workstream to leverage best practices and knowledge sharing
What You Need
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Engineering, or other business management discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in any of the areas – Business Consulting, Restructuring/ Turnaround, M&A Integration, or Business Project management
- Experience managing and leading large-scale improvement efforts to completion
- Strong analytic skills – structured thinker, Problem solver
- Impactful communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
- Certification of Lean Six Sigma or any Improvement methodology would be added advantage
What is Nice to Have

What Makes You Eligible
- Be willing to travel up to 10%, domestic and international travel
- Be willing to work in or have the ability to easily report to the Novi, MI office as the business need arises
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
