The Regional Sales Manager (RSM), Coagulation is a field-based zone sales leadership position with the responsibility for driving revenue growth and capital placements for the Coagulation business in their assigned zone. The RSM will lead a sales team to achieve their targets for capital equipment and revenue attainment. This position will report directly to the Director of Coagulation Sales.
The RSM will be responsible for ensuring the success of the coagulation business within their assigned zone. This role is responsible for managing the direct sales team’s execution of the coagulation strategy. The RSM is responsible for the management of sales activities and tracking of key sales actions such as: forecasting accuracy, funnel management, sales process adherence, account coverage, compliance topics, complaint resolution, New Hire onboarding activities and ongoing performance management.
The RSM will work jointly and collaboratively with internal and field-based Siemens teams to ensure a positive customer experience. These teams typically consist of colleagues from Sales, Marketing, Finance, Service and Technical Applications.
The RSM will be responsible for developing a strong team dynamic that will inspire camaraderie and leadership at all levels.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience
- Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Science or Business; Masters in Business is preferred
- 3 or more years’ experience working in the field of Laboratory Diagnostics
- 3 or more years’ Laboratory Diagnostics sales experience including capital equipment; candidate must demonstrate a track record of success and have an in-depth knowledge of market and competitive laboratory offerings
- Strong people management and people development capabilities including clear expectation setting and driving a culture of accountability
- Exceptional ability to forecast, manage the funnel, negotiate and close deals.
- Ability to think strategically and balance short and long-term goals
- Demonstrated ability to think critically as it relates to tailoring solutions to meet customer needs
- Excellent decision-making capabilities
- Strong business and financial acumen: ability to manage contracts and solutions as a “win-win” a
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally within a matrixed environment
- Proficient in the use of CRM tools and the ability to acclimate to a variety of IT tools; Proficient with MS Office including PowerPoint and Excel
- Outstanding written and presentation skills with ability to communicate to diverse audiences. Strong interpersonal skills, both within the organization and outside of the corporate environment.
- Personal ethics and integrity that embodies best practices and supports highest corporate values.
- A positive attitude demonstrated during company functions and public events to encourage team camaraderie and enthusiasm for market share and revenue growth.
- A minimum of 60% travel is required throughout assigned territory
