Job Summary:
As an Inside Sales Representative for Customer Service, you will partner with our Global Sales Directors to support the processing and fulfillment of Distributor orders. By following established procedures, the rep will help the company accomplish its goals and deliver exceptional service to its customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide general ordering information: delivery time, pricing, product detail and stock levels.
· Process orders and returns efficiently.
· Follow-up on inquiries, update customer account notes and special-order handling instructions.
· Correct billing errors by initiating credits and debits to the customer’s account. Submit claim forms for lost damaged items.
· Work with Quality Control, Fort and NY plant managers, Procurement, Customer Care, and sales team members of problems with products discovered through frequent customer complaints.
· Use Salesforce to add new accounts, contacts, etc., as new inquiries arrive and to prepare quotes as needed.
· Perform all other duties that may be assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
· Excellent phone and customer service skills.
· Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal.
· Comfortable working with customers in a calm, professional manner, using empathy to understand their needs.
· Ability to establish positive working relationships with co-workers and customers.
· Ability to accurately type 30-35 WPM.
· Ability to use MS office/Excel
· Ability to learn business software programs, such as Salesforce.
· Must be able to read and write in English.
