Summary: The Plant Connection Sales Coordinator is responsible for the sales order process, including order entry, order acknowledgements, and order changes. This person will also obtain pricing and program information from the vendors, maintain the data in our computer system, and pass on vendor communications to the sales force. This position requires a team player mentality that will focus on customer service and will handle incoming phone calls from both customers and the sales force regarding product availability, order placement, shipment tracking, and order changes.
Essential Job Functions of a Plant Connection Sales Coordinator:
- Process and acknowledge plant material orders.
- Communicate order changes to the sales force.
- Obtain pricing and program information from the vendors, distribute this information to the sales force, and make sure that the computer system is kept up to date.
- Ensure that all orders are acknowledged and invoiced in a timely manner by reviewing the unconfirmed and open order reports.
- Maintain E fax program.
- Carry out miscellaneous office duties such as filing and copying.
Plant Connection Sales Coordinator - Education, Credentials, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 2 years office experience
- Experience in the Horticultural industry
Plant Connection Sales Coordinator - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Strong customer service ability
- Good organizational skills
- Experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to learn new software quickly.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
