AUTOMOTIVE SALES MANAGER in Baltimore, MD
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Automotive Sales Manager to join our team at our Chevy dealership. As the Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and supervising the sales department to achieve and exceed sales targets. You will be responsible for managing a team of sales professionals, implementing sales strategies, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is results-driven, possesses strong leadership skills, and has a proven track record in the automotive industry.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the sales team, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve individual and team sales goals. Conduct regular team meetings to review performance, set targets, and foster a positive working environment.
- Sales Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute sales strategies that align with dealership goals and market trends. Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions when necessary to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
- Customer Service Excellence: Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service throughout the sales process. Address customer concerns promptly and professionally to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with the General Manager and Inventory Manager to ensure appropriate vehicle inventory levels are maintained. Monitor vehicle aging and initiate strategies to optimize inventory turnover.
- Sales Performance Analysis: Analyze sales data and reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Utilize this information to make data-driven decisions to enhance sales performance.
- Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to improve their product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
- Marketing and Promotions: Work closely with the Marketing team to develop and implement effective marketing and promotional campaigns to drive sales and increase dealership visibility.
- Financial Management: Collaborate with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate and timely completion of all sales-related financial paperwork. Monitor and approve deals, discounts, and incentives in accordance with dealership policies.
- Compliance and Regulations: Ensure that the sales team adheres to all dealership and industry regulations, including ethics, finance, and safety standards.
Proven track record of success in automotive sales management, preferably within a Chevy or GM dealership.- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse sales team.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive sales processes, pricing strategies, and market trends.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze sales data and implement effective sales strategies.
- Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales-related tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining professionalism and composure.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
