Inside Sales / Customer Service Specialist

We are a Flat Rolled steel service center located in Cleveland, Ohio serving the U.S. since 1926.

The position will be responsible for handling all customer service aspects of their assigned customers/accounts to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.

This position reports to the Inside Sales Manager.

Major duties include: order entry and follow-up, expediting, communicating lead-time, material inventory, and status. Responds to complaints and processes credits. Essential functions include but are not limited to:

• Provide Customer Service for assigned Representatives, pricing, order status, commercial support, expediting, and cultivating relationships with the customer.
• Ensure orders, blanket orders and transfers are entered correctly according to quotes offered.
• Complete review of customer's Purchase Order to ensure all commercial terms are acceptable.
• Complete review of detailed specifications to ensure compliance with the customer's technical requirements.
• Determine what stock is available for use and allocate stock.
• Responsible to review, enter, and manage orders resulting from conversion of a quotation to an order or orders received directly from a representative.
• Establish priority and enter all orders within an acceptable timeframe.
• Other duties as required.

Your Expertise:

• Minimum 3 years of technical sales experience in technical customer service role
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and within tight deadlines
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
• Technical sales experience within the steel industry is preferred
• Be able to work well with others, assist others when needed and be part of a team
