Full description of the position

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- Lead the sales process by developing and implementing short-term and long-term strategies to grow the central and eastern US and Canada Design to Manufacturing software market for the nVent Hoffman brand!
- Build and deliver inspiring software demonstrations showcasing compelling value propositions aligned with critical business goals and challenges. Provide strategic and tactical assistance while representing nVent in client meetings
- Improve value to customers using in-person and remote interactions by quantifying opportunities to increase efficiencies. Build strong positive relationships with new and existing customers. Work with senior management, sales resources, product management, and marketing teams to align priorities and activities to achieve high-level business objectives
- Resolve disagreements by encouraging positive internal and external communication without deviating from our sales strategy. Collaborate with sales and technical resources in coordinating field activities like product demonstrations, proof of concept, and voice of the customer
- Partner with local sales resources to assist the customer through their journey from lead-to-order right from prospecting, proposal creation, and proposal presentation to closing and delivery of the entitlements
YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Ability to work remote from a home office and travel 30-40% of the time in the central and eastern US and Canada with primary travel in the US
- Minimum 5+ years outside sales/business development activities required within the software solution space. 7+years preferred
- Electrical CAD design experience helpful (e.g. AUTOCAD Electrical, Zuken E3 series, SOLIDWORKS Electrical, etc
- Knowledge and experience working with CNC machines, automation, or industrial machinery, along with basic skills using CAD software
- Skill in achieving or surpassing results against an internal or external standard of excellence with ability to use strong written and verbal communication skills to present views in a clear and compelling manner
- Skill in conflict resolution including the ability to address differences of opinion or fact and use the most appropriate method to reach an effective solution
- Ability to negotiate using teamwork to arrive at a conclusion using compromise, persuasion, influence, rationale, and tact both internally and externally in a selling environment
- Ability to develop positive relationships in the assigned account markets to assess trends/conditions, and translate these into increased market share and revenue generation
- Goal and result oriented outlook with the ability to take initiative and act independently with minimal direction

Pay TransparencynVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of total target cash pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Total target cash is comprised of an employee’s base salary and sales incentive target opportunity, when annual sales goals are achieved. Employees pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
If annual sales performance exceeds annual sales goals, the total target cash received may exceed the pay scale maximum reflected below.
Total Target Cash Range:
- $92,200 - $171,200 +
