Aerospace And Defense Corporate Sales Analyst I in Fort Worth, TX
- Know, understand and incorporate the Wesco philosophy, values, vision and Corporate Sales strategies in all business behavior, practice and decisions
- Learn and maintain a strong understanding of Wesco’s quality standards, product lines, sales, and compliance issues
- Meet, develop and maintain a strong, beneficial working relationship with Wesco suppliers, gaining valuable market knowledge, as applicable
- Assist in the development of product sales strategies, including segment strategies for the various markets and channels
- Assist in coordinating proposal development with the more experienced sales analysts and Branch sales teams to process contract bids, utilizing internal sales analysis tools, applications and strategies, on a bid-by-bid basis
- Learn and gain ability to work directly with internal/external customers on a regular basis, providing timely, appropriate and accurate responses to inquiries and requests, as trained
- Monitor and track internal bid due dates and other bid requirements, as required
- Download, organize and review market resources, baseline sales information and market trend data; to analyze and assist in reporting possible inconsistencies and opportunities to optimize sales and profitability through adjusted sales strategies
- Review inventory levels and/or source vendor for best sales
- Prepare vendors Request For Quotation (RFQ's), as trained and applicable to the sales process
- Ensure adherence to customer approvals and quality requirements, as trained
- Maintain files for proposals, awards, contracts, contract amendments and other related documents
- Coordinate information as needed with sales, purchasing, quality, and other appropriate departments
- Actively assist and learn more complex contracts and issues, as approved
- Provide basic sales and data entry support, on an as-needed basis
- Participate in and practice continuous improvement and/or process improvement efforts
- Actively pursue and develop a plan through the use of Intranet tools and programs, sales training programs, self assessment tools, and relevant training courses, to increase knowledge and proficiency in all job requirements
- Attend or participate in pricing or sales meetings, as requested; attend company-sponsored meetings, training or events, as required
Proven competency in the use of e-mail, electronic calendars, basic word processing, spreadsheet documents and internal database systems
Demonstrated ability to interact and work well with internal and external customers, vendors and business partners
Demonstrated, strong follow-through and perseverance to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with professional daily interaction with internal and/or external customers
Ability to listen intently and interpret instructions and requirements accurately
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Clear and accurate data entry and documentation skills
Ability to be detailed oriented and perform basic research, if required
Ability to learn and gain knowledge of the integrated database systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel, as needed
