Compensation
The compensation target range for this role is:
$142,500 - $150,000 Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARYThe Director of Sales position is a key leadership role within the Purple Wholesale team reporting directly to the Vice President of Wholesale. The Director oversees the Strategic Account Sales Managers and Key Account Managers.
The Director will drive the growth of the Wholesale business by maximizing current accounts, identifying new accounts, and driving flawless execution and customer satisfaction.
This role will be expected to develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets. The ability to build and maintain long lasting customer relationships is vital.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive consistent, profitable revenue and market share growth- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand customer base
- Drive a customer centric mindset
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives and strategically plan how to meet those needs
- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
- Understand category-specific trends
- Report on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
- Hire the best people and develop them to get better
- Focus on building teams, culture, and morale

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience as Sales Account Manager for 5+ years with a proven track record of managing $100M+ in revenue
- Experience managing 5+ team members
- Travel requirements up to 60%
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
- Ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Possess and demonstrate emotional intelligence
- Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree or equivalent experience, MBA a plus
- High degree of flexibility and a track record of quickly adapting to an ever-changing environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel specifically and Salesforce experience a plus
