Job Summary: Promoting and selling the Schönox line of products (exclusively distributed in North America by HPS North America, LLC) in the designated territory.
Defined Territory: Southern Texas (Houston, San Antonio, Austin)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Distributor partners to maintain balance with the right mix of products for the defined territory;
- Maintain sales volume by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, and competitors;
- Provide education to distribution sales and service departments;
- Develop relationships and grow sales of products through the buying groups of StarNet, Fuse, CCA GLOBAL, FEI, AHSG/Commercial One, and NFA, as well as other buying group networks;
- Demonstrate fully the capability to work with architects, floor dealers, general contractors, end-users, etc.;
- Understand and implement company marketing and branding strategies throughout the territory and the US;
- Develop and manage the geographically defined sales region by aggressively and proactively making regular visits to existing and prospective customers (Territory travel to be outlined by RVP of Sales);
- Develop and implement field action plans;
- Seek input from within the territory and gain competitive awareness;
- Conduct product demonstrations to highlight the benefits and features of Schönox products;
- Utilize the company-provided lead generation system (Construct Connect) for performing searches, managing leads, and generating reports to grow sales in the defined territory;
- Report on territory business and market trends on a regular basis including daily, weekly, and monthly submittal of business reviews, forecasting, and/or development through the utilization of the company-provided CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365);
- Provide field service and support;
- Make technical recommendations and provide technical resources when necessary;
- Follow-up and call on all leads generated from trade shows or other exhibits;
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies;
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of company products as well as competitive awareness and knowledge of substrate preparation and flooring installation. Meeting sales goals, negotiating, selling to customer needs, and building relationships, self-motivated with motivation for sales and ability to work in a fast-paced and changing market with the skills to make sound business decisions of the sales planning and managing processes.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, or related field preferred. 5 or more years in a remote sales position is beneficial. Experience in the building materials industry is highly preferred. A valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record are a must.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and carry sample products from vehicle to customer showroom/office. Must be able to lift 55-pound bags of product on occasion and be able to stand for long periods of time.
Work Location/Environmental Condition: This position is remote, and based out of a home office. The conditions of this job are subject to both inside and outside adverse environmental conditions and the worker can be exposed to a variety of hazardous physical conditions. The RBM is required to live within the territory outlined above. Overnight travel will be required due to territory size. Overnight travel for tradeshows, focus runs, and training based on schedule and relevance to the territory
