An international manufacturer near the Elk Grove Village, IL area is looking for an entry Sales Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of engineering experience and an interest in customer-facing engineering projects.

This is an on-site, direct hire and full-time position.

Sales Engineer Responsibilities:

• Offer technical support to customers in relation to the company's products
• Explain price and delivery information to customers
• Occasionally visit clients, and attend events (trade shows, seminars, etc)
• Manage current customers and grow prospective customers in the market to gain leads and explain the company's services/products to provide technical promotion
• Resolve customer issues over the phone or by email
• Utilize CRM on a daily basis to track and record customer information
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management

Sales Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree is required in Engineering or a related technical degree
• 1-3 years of related experience (example: Application Engineer, Field Engineer, Inside Sales Engineer, Customer Support, etc)
• Valid driver's license is required
• Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations
• Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
• Able to communicate fluently in both written and verbal English

While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
