Now Hiring - CDS (NY) - Inside Sales Support Specialist in Buffalo, NY

The Inside Sales Support Specialist assists clients throughout the sales process, helping them resolve any concerns they may have while processing, tracking and shipping orders. They also maintain databases and perform general administrative duties.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Answer all incoming calls in a friendly and helpful manner, within 3 rings.
• Assist customers with questions/issues that arise.
• Provide product information to customers when requested or as a means of further promoting CDS products.
• Interacts with customers via telephone, email, online and in person to provide support and information on products and services.
• Set up new customer accounts.
• Enter all purchase orders within 24 hours of receiving them through Great Plains software and the EDI system.
• Track and expedite sales orders when necessary. Process all sample orders/requests through Great Plains. Collaborate with multiple internal departments to confirm product availability and transport samples.
• Alter sales orders and shipping information as required.
• Write credits approved by sales manager.
• Responsible for updating and maintaining Customer Complaint Document.
• Produce regular and ad hoc reports as needed via Excel.
• Generate sales reports and provide updates on performance metrics weekly; generate open order reports daily.
• Create and manage items in various customers portals.
• Maintain an accessible and organized filing system for sales and administrative documents.
• Handle all administrative duties for the sales department.
• Expediting requests rush orders and altering sales orders and shipping information as required.
• Participate in growing the sales of the business by developing a rapport with the independent accounts through positive customer service interactions and follow ups.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills, speaks clearly on the phone & superior explanation skills.
• Detailed and time-oriented toward service delivery.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 365.
• Intermediate level Excel skills necessary.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, highly organized.
• EDI and/or Great Plains experience is a plus
• Customer Service skills required to be sensitive to the needs of the customer, courteous at all times while swiftly responding to requests.
• Strong interpersonal skills, active listener with the ability to establish a rapport.
• Ability to enter data with great attention to detail.
• Excellent memory to keep track of multiple accounts, preferences, requests, and Company products.

Education and Experience:

• Ability to speak, write and understand English.
• Microsoft Dynamics GP 2018 experience preferred.
• Associate degree in related field or 3+ years’ experience in similar position
• 1-year phone customer service experience, (telephone and interpersonal skills)
• 6 months experience assisting customers resolving issues.
• 1-year data entry experience
• Food industry knowledge helpful (candy-making A+)

Physical requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
