Overview

Come grow with us by joining our team as a Sales Support Specialist! In this role, you will play a critical role for the company and will work alongside other professionals within the team and other departments. You will serve the Inside Sales Team through generating proposals, keeping records and reports up-to-date, while answering phones as needed. The Sales Support Specialist is the person on the team whom everyone will rely on for quick, accurate details and support. This is an entry-level role where the employee will gain important skills to allow them to grow within the organization.

Responsibilities

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

  • Develop and maintain business relationships with internal customers and generate or update quotes for the organization’s products/services.
  • Provide support to sales team by answering any product related questions promptly – pricing, marketing material and target customer profiles.
  • Generate regular reports to update staff on inventory finishing at the factory, aging inventory, etc.
  • Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities.
  • Collaborate and strategize with Inside Sales to develop new tools increasing efficiency.
  • Serve as a backup for Inside Sales to answer phone calls and internet leads, determining if they are a Transactional customer, Account, or National Account.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • No prior experience required. 1-2 years administrative experience a plus.
  • Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for internal customers.
  • Must be a great problem solver and have critical thinking skills.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) applications.
