Job description
We are looking for someone who is passionate about bikes, the electric transportation movement, or better yet, both! We are looking for the right person with the right energy to not only ensure an increase of In-Store Bike Sales, but to fit into a fantastic group of team-members at our SLC Magnum Shop.
The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for the satisfaction of customers in our SLC retail store. The Retail Sales Associate will be in charge of guiding customers through the shopping process, from the initial greeting to the final purchase. By providing insight and support, you’ll help strengthen our customer relationships and convert new patrons into repeat shoppers.
This position will report directly to the General Manager of the SLC retail store.
Job Duties
- Deliver exceptional service to our shoppers, resulting in repeat visits and long-term brand loyalty to the Magnum Bikes brand
- Collaborate with coworkers to achieve store sales goals through suggestive selling
- Inform patrons about product features and benefits, offering opinions and recommendations as appropriate
- Explaining the different models: function, design, features, price points.
- Helping customers select bikes to take on test rides according to procedures: waiver signing, walking customer through proper and safe bike usage.
- Closing sales
- Using our POS effectively and accurately to execute sales.
- Delivering an extraordinary in-store customer experience.
- Add to a work environment in which all employees can succeed.
- Maintain a tidy shopping environment and welcoming atmosphere
- Represent our company with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Treat customers with respect and courtesy
- Answer customer questions and assist with requests
- Execute purchases and returns at the cash register while checking for accuracy following company processes and procedures
- Restock and organize merchandise on the sales floor
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner
- Other duties as assigned
Service and Operations
- Works with a sense of pride and ownership of in-store appearance
- Understands the store is the face of Magnum to every customer.
- Respond in a timely manner to all communications, requests for supporting information, or corrections to errors.
Requirements
- Excellent sales skills and demonstrated ability to meet or exceed performance standards.
- Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Self-Motivated, great Self-awareness, has a growth mindset.
- Skilled at Customer Database, Email, Excel, and web-based POS.
- 3+ years retail sales experience.
- Mechanical aptitude will weigh heavily in favor of any applicant.
- Outdoor / Tourism based business experience is valued.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Required to stand for long periods of time in order to provide the best customer service (unless accommodations are required/requested for an employee under the ADA).
Base Compensation & Supplemental
- $17.00 - $20.00 per hour DOE
